A bit more about me

I received my master’s degree in Social Work from New York University. I’ve worked in various settings including schools, outpatient mental health clinics, & private practice. I have provided therapy to individuals, groups, & families of many different backgrounds, with a variety of mental health challenges. Some of my training includes Emotionally Focused Therapy, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, Cognitive Processing Therapy, Gottman Method Couples Therapy (Level 1 certified), Grief Counseling, & Sex Therapy.

I am originally from NJ, lived in NYC for almost a decade until I moved out to Portland, OR with my partner and our pup, “The Dude”. Before I became a therapist I studied theater and will always have a passion for the arts and the power art has to connect us to our emotions and to each other.

An individualized approach

Every person is unique & I believe an individualized approach is called for. You’ll often hear me talking about the relationship between our thoughts & feelings, understanding our emotions & what they are trying to tell us, bringing curiosity to challenging situations or interactions, & practicing compassionate accountability towards ourselves & others.
